Razman Homestead is a family farm that combines a restaurant, vineyards, a winery, orchards, olive groves and accommodation for tourists. It is located in Gračišče, a village in the idyllic hinterland of Slovenian Istria, with farmland in the nearby village of Popetre. We have six hectares of vineyards, the majority of which are Refošk (40%) and Istrian Malvazija (40%), the most famous and widespread Istrian grape varieties. We also offer Yellow Muškat, French varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah) and Maločrn, a very rare native Istrian red variety. We ourselves know it ourselves as Plavina. We produce mainly varietal, still, dry wines in a variety of styles, from fresh to long macerated and aged in wooden barrels. Our red grape variety is called Popetris, after the village of Popetre, and includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Refosco. The sweet segment is covered by Yellow Muškat, and in 2016 we tried sparkling wines for the first time. Our oldest surviving vineyard (planted with Refošk and Maločrni) is over 100 years old, a living monument to our family’s long tradition of viticulture and winemaking.
